Samruddhi Mahamarg & Nagpur Real Estate
The expressway that pulled Mumbai closer
The Hindu Hrudaysamrat Balasaheb Thackeray Maharashtra Samruddhi Mahamarg links Nagpur and Mumbai by an access-controlled expressway. Its Nagpur end has become a focus for logistics and plotted development.
What the Samruddhi Mahamarg Changed
The Samruddhi Mahamarg is an access-controlled expressway of about 700 km between Nagpur and the Mumbai region, designed to cut road travel time sharply and to open up the interior of Maharashtra. For Nagpur, it strengthened the city's role as a logistics hub and made road travel to Mumbai practical for business owners.
Land near the expressway's Nagpur end and along the Ring Road has drawn logistics parks and plotted layouts. The golf-course township announced by Krisala and Hiranandani in October 2026 is reported to be near the Ring Road and Samruddhi Mahamarg.
Krisala Nagpur Township's Access
From the township, the Samruddhi Mahamarg access is about 12 km / 25 minutes, the Ring Road about 8 km / 15 minutes and NH-44 about 5 km / 10 minutes — giving residents a choice of routes north, south and west.
Expressway Effects on Property
Logistics Growth
Warehousing and freight jobs near the corridor.
Business Travel
Easier road trips to Mumbai and Nashik.
New Land Opens
Peripheral land becomes practical for townships.
A Word of Caution
Expressways help, but they do not create demand by themselves. Prefer projects that combine expressway access with jobs and social infrastructure nearby, as the MIHAN belt does. Read growth corridors.
Logistics Hubs and Jobs
The Samruddhi Mahamarg is part of a wider plan to develop logistics and industrial nodes along its route. For Nagpur, which already has MIHAN and the Butibori industrial area, faster road freight to Mumbai's ports strengthens the case for warehousing and manufacturing — and therefore jobs. Homes within reach of these employment nodes benefit from that demand.
